Byron Kominek is the owner and manager of Jack’s Solar Garden in Boulder County, Colorado. Jack’s Solar Garden is a 1.2 MW single-axis tracking agrivoltaics system incorporating research, education, art, and vegetable, herb, and berry growth. Byron is a former US diplomat having served with the U.S. Agency for International Development in Zambia and Mozambique working on forestry and wildlife conservation activities. He holds a M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. Byron is actively consulting on various agrivoltaics projects around the USA through his consultancy, Jack’s Solar Garden Developments.
